The Professional Security Contract (CSP) provides for a reintegration bonus paid in two installments to employees laid off for economic reasons who find a job. The second installment is not automatic: it requires that the employment contract be still in effect three calendar months following the hiring. Writing a letter tailored to this specific condition avoids back-and-forth with France Travail and speeds up the processing of the file.
Eligibility Conditions for the Second Payment of the CSP Reintegration Bonus
Before drafting anything, it is essential to verify that the situation meets each criterion. A perfectly written letter will never compensate for the absence of a substantive condition.
- The job must have been taken up before the end of the tenth month of the CSP, in the form of a permanent contract (CDI), fixed-term contract (CDD), or temporary work contract of at least six months.
- The employee must have justified at least one year of seniority in the company that laid them off at the time of the economic dismissal.
- The resumed contract must still be in effect three months after the hiring date. It is this maintenance in employment that triggers the right to the second payment, not the mere passage of time.
- The initial request for the reintegration bonus must have been submitted within thirty days following the resumption of employment. A delay at this stage can jeopardize the entire process, including the second payment.
One point deserves attention: if the resumed contract is terminated during the trial period after at least six months of activity, the employee may, in some cases, resume the CSP for the remaining duration. This scenario no longer falls under a request for a second payment but rather a reintegration into the system, and the letter to be drafted would then be different.
To have a template for the request letter for the 2nd payment of CSP suitable for this process, the framework must absolutely include proof of employment maintenance in the third month.

Supporting Documents to Attach to the Request Letter
The letter alone is not sufficient. France Travail requires documents that attest to the reality and continuity of the resumed employment. Omitting a document extends the processing time by several weeks.
The payslip for the third calendar month following the hiring is the central document. It proves that the contract is still active on the required date. Without this document, the request remains pending.
A copy of the employment contract or the letter of engagement must also be provided, along with an employer’s certificate confirming the start date of the contract and its nature (CDI, CDD of six months or more, temporary work of six months or more). These elements are included in the application form for reintegration assistance, part of which must be filled out by the new employer.
Common Error on the Payslip
Some applicants attach the payslip from the first or second month, thinking they are anticipating the processing. France Travail cannot initiate payment on this basis. The third monthly payslip is the only acceptable one for the second payment. It is better to wait to receive it and send a complete file than to send partial submissions.
Writing the Letter: What the Correspondence Must Demonstrate
Competitors extensively detail the format (greeting, subject, header). These elements fall under the standard formalism of any administrative correspondence. What distinguishes a letter that is processed quickly from one that stagnates is the ability to prove in a few lines that all regulatory conditions are met.
The body of the letter must establish three facts, in this order:
- The exact date of job resumption, the nature of the contract, and the name of the company that hired the employee.
- Confirmation that the contract is still in effect at the date of writing, explicitly mentioning that the third calendar month has been reached or exceeded.
- A reminder that the initial request for the bonus was indeed submitted within the thirty-day timeframe, citing the date of this first submission if possible.
Each statement in the letter must correspond to an attached document. If the letter mentions a CDI starting on a certain date, the attached contract must confirm it. If the letter states that employment is maintained in the third month, the payslip must prove it. This consistency between text and supporting documents is what allows the processing agent to validate the file without additional requests.
Tone and Length of the Letter
Half a page is sufficient. The letter is not intended to recount a professional journey or justify the merits of the system. The agent handling the request checks objective criteria. A short and factual letter speeds up processing because it reduces reading and analysis time.
The use of formal address and a neutral tone is appropriate. Any wording that resembles a complaint or a formal notice risks placing the file in a different, slower processing queue.

Processing Time and Recourse in Case of No Response from France Travail
No standardized legal response time is published by France Travail for this specific request. Feedback from forums and testimonials shows variable durations, often related to the completeness of the file at the time of receipt.
If several weeks pass without a response, the first reflex is to contact the designated advisor via secure messaging on the France Travail personal space. This written record is better than a phone call, which is difficult to prove in case of a subsequent dispute.
In the absence of a response after written follow-up, the mediator of France Travail can be contacted. The request must mention the dates of sending the initial request and the follow-up, accompanied by the acknowledgments of receipt. Recourse to the mediator does not suspend the right to payment: it aims to unblock a file that has remained unresolved.
The reintegration bonus represents half of the remaining rights under the Professional Security Allowance. A delay in payment can therefore significantly impact the budget of a recently reclassified employee, especially if the new salary is lower than the previous one. Keeping a copy of each document sent, along with proof of submission, remains the best protection against an administrative process that drags on.
